Happy New Year!! We did it!! We made it the whole year! Now I need a break...I'm going to probably start a 52 week instead..since I'm such a slacker lately. So stay tuned for a picture a week :)

Playing my piano and grooving to the music. She is seriously in love with her new piano from her Aunt & Uncle and cousins!! She hasn't stopped playing with it either....and she screams...er.....sings along to all the songs. :)

Fishing! She got this great fishing game from her Granny Lou Lou...and she laughs every time she catches one of the sea creatures. We even learned that her fishing pole sticks to the hall closet door...and she showed Daddy that right away when he got home!! Too funny!!

Back home...and busy playing with her Santa gift...a highchair for her bitty baby. She loves it...and we've started the process of moving toys around to make room for all the new ones :)

MERRY CHRISTMAS!!! We were up super early to open gifts...and so we could get a good start on our trek down to see her cousins. I love when she does this with her "bankie"...she looks like my little babushka :) Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas day!!

Merry Christmas Eve! Can you tell she's absolutely thrilled to leave milk & cookies out for Santa? It's like she's a teenager already. "geez mom...seriously...do i have to do this...right now...and do you have to take my picture?" I can see it now....

Christmas at Poppie's! We headed down to Poppie's house for our Christmas with him and all the rest of our family. We had a great time...and Ellie came home with a car full of gifts!! Now the hard part is deciding which one to play with!! :)

Googles! In December no less. And in her standard outfit these days...her Minnie nightie. I swear...the only pictures I get of her and of her in this nightie. But when it's a favorite...it's a favorite. Can't fault her for loving it :)

Playing with my dolls! Wooden dolls that is. Ellie exchanged gifts with her bff Aubrey the other night and she hasn't stopped playing with her wooden dolls. They are Melissa & Doug version of paper dolls, only wooden with magnet clothes. She LOVES them!! Their names are Abby & Emma...just like Aubrey & Ellie :)

Singing! Holy cow...does she love to sing. Well...I should say more like...scream her own lyrics. Tonight she was sitting on an unwrapped gift...and reading from my calendar and making up her own song. Have a mentioned what a great imagination she has?

Watching for Santa! Every year our local volunteer fire department comes around through the neighborhoods with Santa on top the fire truck. It's so awesome! They come in blaring their sirens and honking...and it's just about the coolest thing ever. Kids come bursting out of their houses and running to the street to see him. And me...well...I get teary eyed every year.

Gingerbread house! If it looks a little heavy on the frosting...it's cuz it's from last year. And the frosting was a big blob of stickiness. We kinda had to come up with our own way of making the house. I vow to buy a new one next year!

Day out! We took the monster to see the new Muppet movie. Totally awesome!! And we treated ourselves to lunch out too. Ellie had a ball playing with the ball of dough they gave her with her crayons. Mental note...make up some homemade playdough and keep it in my purse at all times.

Dance time! She is able to switch up to the big girl class now! Whoohoo!! So she's in a ballet & tap class now. So fun. And of course we had to get a new leotard/tutu for her new class to go with her new tap shoes :)

Seeing Santa. Exactly how I feel too kid! Agghhhhh. We thought a Thursday night...around 8pm would be a slow time. Apparently not! We stood in line for a good 45-50 minutes to see the big man. Oh...it's worth it right? She didn't like him too much at first...but she warmed up to him and sat on his lap for a cute picture. All I can ask for right?

More cookie baking! She helped me with sugar cookies today. Such a big helper...both in making the cookies...and eating them :)

Jammie time at the library!! We got to sing Christmas songs, and listen to Christmas stories. We even made some reindeer hats!! Great time!!

Merry Christmas to Mommy! A nice big shipment from Adorama. Mommy got some studio lighting equipment..whoohoo!! So now I don't have to be so dependent on the sun in my client's homes. I can bring my own light now :) Yippppeeee!

Who needs pants?? After several days of wearing clothes....Ellie is glad to be home and going pantless. Where does she get this from? Not me...trust me when I say...I'm wearing pants :)

Wii night at our house! Well...should say...Wii night for Daddy...and we just give Ellie the remote that has no batteries to make her think she's playing :)

Cousins! Yippee!! I pretty much didn't see my child the whole day. She was so busy playing with her cousins...putting on makeup and doing each other's hair. She had a ball! I love it :)

Dance class! We got to sit in on her dance class tonight. What a riot! It's so funny to see how your child behaves around other kids and teachers when you're not there with them. She goes in spurts...will participate...and then not. Look around and kind of space out...and then be all about dancing. Funny!! We got some great laughs tonight :)

Christmas goodies baking! We're getting a jump on it this year. We're swapping with Aunt Jenni...and we're heading to her house this weekend...so we made a few things and we'll take them and swap those for some of the stuff she makes. Ellie & I made Caramel Chocolate Brownies & Chex Mix today. Tomorrow I will make up a few batches of Peanut Brittle...and then we're good. We'll be coming back with a loaded car...full of goodies...and full bellies of goodies :)

Christmas decorations! Yay!! We got our lights up and our stockings. I just love this time of year. I get all choked up when I hear some of my favorite Christmas songs...and there's just a feeling in the air that I love. This year Ellie gets it...and is just as excited as I am :)

Family Picture Day!! Whoohoo!! We had perfect weather for it today. And now we're just waiting on pins and needles...dying to see how they turned out!! Many thanks to Anne for helping us out today. A gift in the mail! I got a wonderful gift waiting at my doorstep this morning. I love me some Vera Bradley...and this will be perfect for our Disney trip coming up!! We might all just be able to carry on all of our luggage...especially when I have a fabulous bag like this to use!! :)

Leaves! This time of year rolls around...and the side of our street gets hammered with leaves. The other side...nothing...not a single leaf over there. Good thing we don't have to rake them up...the condo association pays for that...well...I guess I should say...WE pay to have other people rake them up. :) LOL. At any rate...we played in them today...and had a ball :)

Turkey hat revisited. She finally wants to wear this...and guess what. It's way to small now. She hated this hat when she was a baby. So I guess that gives me hope that other things she doesn't like right now will eventually be on her favorites list. Things like broccoli and potatoes :)

Ellie's Christmas tree. I've been busy with sessions these last couple weeks...and been using some Christmas props. Ellie found my little tree...and decided to redecorate it with all sorts of stuff. She dumps stuff on it...stands back and says.."it's so adorable." Funny girl!
