Big girl bath. Tonight I'm reminded yet again that she's not a little baby anymore. Our dear friends became parents tonight...and they posted a picture of their new little guy. When I say little I mean little. She was only 4 more ounces than him...and he looks tiny!! Wow...how did we go from that to this...30lber :) LOL. She likes to "swim" in the tub now...doesn't put her face in the water, but we'll get there by the end of the summer I bet. These are my favorite moments to capture...when Daddy & Ellie don't know I'm watching...and I can sneak in and snap a pic...then they turn around...and say..."MOMMY"...lol...that's my job!!

Here's what I've been up to today. Working feverishly on my marketing materials. I think I've got this one done...but the minute I say that...I start to rethink and wonder if I should change pictures, etc. I'm hoping to get it all squared away before the end of the week. That's my goal :)

Easter Egg Hunt! Oh we had fun at Daddy's work hunt. We got about 10 eggs...because there were so many kids and most of them big. But we still had fun...and she got to eat some yummy candy!!

Ellie's Fashion Friday. Carter's fleece pants...hand me down fleece jacket...gifted dress up skirt..and crown. :) It's freezing here...so we were bundled up today in the house. It's crazy...they are talking snow this weekend...it's almost April for goodness sakes!!

Tootin' her own horn. Well...saxophone really :) She cracks me up. She had just woke up from her nap...and wanted to read stories...and she found this thing and picked it up and started humming into it. So funny! I love this girl!!

Cake eating. I was consumed with my photography forum's scavenger hunt yesterday. Yes...my child is eating cake...before dinner...but I needed a picture of it!! LOL....I doubt I'll win anything...but of the 50 things on the list I had 29 of them already in my home. I had to try!! I'll let you know if I won anything :)

New stand! Yay!! I purchased a portable stand this week...and was testing it out with my little bug. It works great...and is super easy to put together :) Here I used fabric, but I did get a roll of seamless paper to use. Love that!!

So big. Someone...please...anyone...do you have a magic pill to make your kids stop growing? I'd do anything for one of those...right now please! She looks like a big girl in this picture...and everyday I look at her I see things changing. Maybe it's because she just turned 2...or maybe it's just because I'm all sentimental...but she's not my little baby anymore...and I see that. She makes me laugh more and more now that she's bigger. How does that happen. It's like she became a comedian overnight. She's hysterical. And I love that.

Mr. Potato Head. Today was all about them. We made an Ariel the Mermaid Potato Head...a TinkerBell Potato Head...a Minnie Mouse Potato Head...a Pirate Potato Head...and this one...the Prince. Except he had no nose..no arms...no ears..just eyes and a tongue sticking out with a crown on his head. Sounds like a real gem doesn't he :)

Stylin'. On our way to Ellie's BFF's birthday party. She was looking like a big girl today...and Daddy wasn't too happy about that. And quite possibly...for like the first time ever...she looked a little like me with her hair half up. Just maybe...but the jury's still out on it.. :)

Ellie's Fashion Friday! Polo from Gymboree and Hot pink pants from Carters :) We had a great time at the park...gorgeous weather..and some fairy flying. Can't beat that! :)

Happy 2nd Birthday Ellie!! Here she is opening gifts bright and early this morning! And wearing her dessert jammies I might add :) We had an awesome day!! Lunch with Daddy...got to watch the "Tinkie Bell" show twice today...and added in half of Toy Story 2 and all of The Aristocats...whew....that means NO tv tomorrow kid ;) I can't believe my baby is 2!! She's such a big girl now. Happy Happy Birthday Elliecakes! I love you!

The night before St. Patrick's Day. And the last night of being a 1 year old. Oh it goes too fast I tell you! Everyone tells you that...but you never really believe it till it happens before your eyes!

Broccoli. I can't tell you how this kid used to love broccoli when she was younger. Does she eat it now. Nope. Not for me. Up until this past weekend...this kid wouldn't touch it. So her cousin gets her to eat it...and now she LOVES the stuff. Go figure....

Birthday Party!!! Here she is in her Minnie Mouse pillowcase dress I made for her!! It fit so great...and she loved wearing it. Her birthday party was a huge success!! Lots of great new toys...and no where to put them all :)

Ellie's Fashion Friday! Piggie Jammies from Carters, and dress up accessories from her cousins, and the Easter hat made by Grammie C. She was busy playing dress up with Grammie C before we had to start running errands in preparation for her birthday party weekend. I especially love that she put on dress up shoes over the feety jammies...that's gotta be comfy :)

Ellie's Fashion Friday. This was a quick one...her fashion these days is Chick Fil-a sauce on her face :) We've been all over the place lately..and Mommy didn't feel like cooking. So she's in her comfy ON teal pants, and a comfy ON shirt...and we flipped through the Oscar edition of my free People magazine while watching Dino Dan. We're living glamorous people! :)

Joy, you were such a beautiful person. I am so blessed by knowing you for as long as I did. You were an amazing woman. So strong, so funny, and boy could you play a mean game of Shanghai Rummy. We miss you so much, but we know you're in an awesome place right now. We know you're watching over us all, and we can't wait to see you again in heaven.

My mom had this picture of her and I together. It was taken a few days before I married my husband. I'm so thankful for this because I don't think I have one of just her and I together. It was a sad reminder to me that I don't take nearly enough pictures of my family. I need to take every opportunity to document memories for my daughter. She won't ever remember Grammie Joy and how much she loved her, but I can share my memories of her and show her some of the fun times we had.

Remember to say I love you, hug your loved ones, and take that camera everywhere you go.

Splishing and splashing in Granny Lou Lou's kitchen. Granny Lou has been a huge help today and took care of Ellie all day for us so we could be at the hospital. Much thanks goes out to her! !

Shopping queen! Sorry this is late...we had a family emergency and I won't be posting a lot over the next few days. We are with family and continue to pray for our dearly loved Joy.
