Boots! It's ok...you can say it. It looks hideous! Oh...it was my poor attempt at craft time with Ellie. I did all the work...and she threw him in her old crib...and he pretty much stays there. LOL...I don't blame her...there's something about him that looks off. Oh well....I tried :)

Sing-a-long! Our local PBK store had a 4th of July sing-a-long...so we went. We had a great time..we got to sing songs and Ellie & her buddy Aubrey got to march around the store. It was great! I know they have story time there too...so we might have to start going to that once a month..just to get some interaction with other kids :)

Crab. I don't know what it is about this little guy...he's a magnet..slash...ornament....but Ellie loves playing with him. And now he hangs on our bathroom door knob. Why? I have no idea...but I sort of like him there :)

1st night of gymnastics! She's all ready! We were completely impressed with our little budding gymnast. She did awesome on the balance beam...and for never having been on one before...looked like a total pro! We definitely have some areas we need to work on...this kid doesn't bounce...she just hops around on the trampoline...and she's not too crazy about climbing ladders :) LOL...oh well...by the end of the summer she'll get it all figured out I'm sure :)

Face painting! So before we headed home from our Lancaster PA trip...we found a cute little hands on children's museum just down the road from our hotel. Boy oh boy did we hit the jackpot! Wow!! I only wish this place was closer...the girls had a fabulous time and we played for a good 2 hours! They got to grocery shop in a store...pick velcro corn out of the fields...milk the backend of a wooden cow...play dress up and get on stage...and face paint themselves. Good times!!

Dutch Wonderland! Whoohoo! We went with some friends and their daughter...and we had a total blast!! The girls got to ride rides by themselves...and got to run around and swim at our hotel pool for like 3 hours! So much fun...I think we're going to make this an annual trip from now on :)

Ellie's Fashion Friday! She's in a lime green shirt from her Grammie C and some teal blue shorts from Carter's today. And...we found out some yucky news...that tick was nasty. She has localized Lyme's Disease. So we started treatment...21 days of antibiotics...and lots of prayers for this girl. I cried a lot today...mostly because I was scared of what this meant...and because no matter how hard I try...I can't always protect her from everything out there. And that makes me feel like a failure. Hello Mommy guilt! But I keep telling myself I did everything I could do...we found it early...and she should be fine.

Ugh! Not how I wanted to start my morning! Ellie came in my bed this morning and we were snuggling and I rubbed the back of her hair....and immediately cringed. I felt something. We ran into the bathroom and I tipped her head over and sure enough...a TICK! Ugh! It was in there pretty good...but we got it out...head and all....and she never even flinched once! Brave girl!! Ugh...now I will have the heebie jeebies the rest of the day!  A reminder to us that we need to start checking her every night before bed.

Park time! We got in some serious play time at the park today with Ellie's friend Aubrey. It was a hot one today...so we were taking a lunch break under a big shade tree. We're planning a fun weekend with them too...we'll be heading to Dutch Wonderland this weekend and we can't wait. Hopefully the weather will cooperate for us :) And yes...I'm finally caught up. Sorry about the missing week of pics...but we're good now :)

Hiding from the camera. Yet again. She covered up her face when I asked her to look at me. Poor kid! She's never going to enjoy getting her picture taken...ever. You'd think by now she'd be used to it. I've been doing this all of her life....get over it already. LOL :)

Talking on the cell phone. It's an old phone that doesn't work by the way...so don't worry that she's calling China on my dime :) I have a feeling we're gonna have a high telephone bill when she gets older. Flash forward about 12 years...and we probably won't be seeing much of her..course by then they'll have something crazy...and cell phones will be as obsolete rotary phones! Geesh...that makes me feel old!

Happy Father's Day! A quick picture with Grandpa H and the grandkids. We had a great day playing outside at their new house...and she slept about 12 hours that night! That should tell you how hard she played!! :)

Dinner out! And coloring hard on her menu. We went down to visit her Aunt & Uncle & cousins and Grandpa H was visiting too for Father's Day weekend. We went out to eat mexican...and this kid went to town on her quesadilla. She also didn't nap much of the day...and played hard with her cousins.

Ellie's Fashion Friday! And Happy 27 months to my peanut! She's wearing a dress from her cousin Emily that was made by her Grammie Lou Lou :) It's a little big still...but she LOVES the "butterfleas" aka butterflies on it :)

Lounging on Daddy. There's not too much to say about this. She loves to lay on her Daddy after he comes home from work :) I think Daddy likes it too!

Pool time! We drove down to Popie's house for the day to celebrate Father's Day early..and we got in some pool time. Whoohoo! She's a little fish this girl!! The water was a little chilly at first..but we eventually got warmed up to it...and she didn't want to get out :) We had a great visit!! Thanks again Popie!!

Color machine! This kid loves to color. And yes I let her use markers cuz they're the best kind. Color Wonder markers are quite possibly the best invention EVER! Only show up on the paper...genius!

My little beauty :) I asked her to hold still and say cheese to me...and by the time she got around to saying cheese, I had already taken the picture. I guess I need to start going back to the good camera so I can catch her before she moves. The camera on my phone just isn't 2 year old fast enough :)

Pardon the fuzziness of the picture...someone doesn't like to hold still for too long. We were over visiting family and celebrating her cousin's birthday...and she found the TinkerBell wings. So she was flying all over their living room.

Cheese. The ONLY mouse that's allowed in this house :) If you're not familiar with Cheese, he's from the TinkerBell movies. We got him today :) And his poor little tail has been broke off several times. Poor Cheese!

Ellie's Fashion Friday! Today its her Ariel shirt from Disney World and some shorts from Gymboree. We're having another hot day here..and staying inside. Confession : the only reason she's dressed again today is that I knew I needed to do a fashion post...and I couldn't do another one of her in jammies!  Lol!! Happy Friday peeps!!

Legos! She was building away and talking about what she was building. I build a house. I love when I catch her really playing...and using her imagination. Oh and yes...my child was still in her jammies...and I think I took this around 4:00. LOL. It was miserably hot here and I knew we weren't going anywhere. Be thankful I didn't show you what I was wearing! :)

Sass. I am getting this already. She's 2...and she's giving me sass. I ask her to smile and say cheers...she likes to say that instead of cheese...and I get the half smile. Oh well...such is the life of a child of a photographer :)

My funny girl! Always finds a way to make me laugh. She was playing on my cedar chest and decided to toss me a "senior picture pose" when I asked her to say "cheers". I started laughing hysterically which only made her pose even more. Silly kid!!

Playing at the park! And sweating too :) We had just finished kicking her soccer ball around and took a lunch break. Beautiful day for playing outside.

Further proof my child prefers jammies over regular clothes. She went upstairs and found her piggie jammies in the pile of winter clothes and came down and told us she wanted to wear them. Whatever you want kid.

Washing toys. This is what happens when you decide to fill your vehicle with sod. Toys get very dirty. So I washed them all...and here they are laying out to dry. With the exception of Thomas the Train...I think they're all Disney toys. Geesh...we gotta branch out a little :)

Today it's Parsons Fixit Friday instead. And here is our little piece of grass!! Daddy & Poppie worked VERY hard to get this all in. And it is BEAUTIFUL!! We can't wait for it to take so we can start playing on it :)

PJ's. My child loves to be in her pj's. So much so..that she took off all her day clothes...and found a mismatched pair of pjs and put them on...oh..and the pants are on backwards...the ruffle should be in the back. LOL. She cracks me up!

Roses. Lots and lots of them this year already!! I'm not a rose expert by any means...but I do a fairly good job of keeping them alive :)
