Movie theater!! We went to see the new Winnie the Pooh movie and she loved it. It was really cute...just the right length..although Mommy & Daddy both started to nod off...lol. That's what happens when you get parents in a dark quiet room. They want to sleep!! Now I get why my dad always falls asleep at movies!! :)

Ellie's Fashion Friday & A Popsicle! Yum! The cure for a hot day!! And she's wearing one of her cousin's outfits from Gymboree...it's so cute..it has a little bee on the polo and a big flower on the skirt :)

She's starting to look like me! Yay! I never thought it would happen..but after looking at some pics of me when I was 5, I can definitely see me in her :) Plus..I make silly smiles like this too :)

Home sweet home. We just got home and she's all snug in her bed. Had a great time visiting Grammie...it went too fast. We'll just have to plan another trip but take Daddy with us :)

Wind turbines! We took a little drive to see the wind turbines today...also so a certain someone would nap. She takes after me in that department...can fall asleep fast in the car :). Anyway...it was cool to see these close up. My mom said there's like 30 some of them...and being about 20 miles from her house...she can still see them from her house. That tells ya how big the hill is that she lives on...and how big these things are :)

Gummies! And 103 degree weather! We stayed outside all day watching mud volleyball...and sweated and sweated some more! Ellie had a great time playing with her new best friend Logan...who happens to be the daughter of my best friend from high school :) And we did another night of the rodeo...so Ellie will be ready to go back home and lasso her daddy!!

Ellie's Fashion Friday. Tank from Gap and last years shorts from Gymboree....sweaty head..courtesy of the county fair. We went over to the fairgrounds and checked out all the cows, pigs, sheep, chickens, ducks, horses and goats :) Lots to take in...and she loved it all!

Picking cucumbers with Grammie...in her jammies :) We had a great day visiting old friends of mine from college...and laughing about things our kids do. And we got in some pool time so that was even better!!

Ice cream pop. Hmmm..she looks like she's not so sure about it..but trust me...she ate the whole thing. That's the fun part about coming to Grammies...all the yummy treats :)

Tuckered out. I let her nap for an hour since she was so close to bedtime...but then she fell back asleep in my arms. Poor baby!

Reminiscing. Visited my old dorm from college. We even went to my first real job in college. It was a work study job. I worked at the Dairy Store...and gained more than the Freshman Fifteen :) Oh good times!

Snow cone! We went to Omaha to the Henry Doorly Zoo today and had a great time. Hot weather and all. :) Ellie is officially passed out in the car...poor kid. Grammie did a good job of wearing her out! :)

At the airport!  We made it through security just fine...and it helped that there was no one in line. Thank the Lord!! So we're off to Grammie C's house for 12 days!  We can't wait! And Mommy is missing Daddy already! !

I just know I'm going to see this face again. In about 3 1/2 months. This is her Halloween costume we got for her when we went to Disney. She loves Belle...as you probably know by reading this blog. Today she found it hanging in her closet and she brought it down and insisted that she wear it. It lasted all of 5 minutes...until she made this lovely face and exclaimed what all little girls cry out...." IT'S ITCHY!!" Yeh....why don't they make this softer already?

It's Gymnastics DAY! Sporting her green leotard from her cousins...and she got a matching green turtle from her bestie Aubrey. They just got back from a cruise...and Mr. Turtle is from the Bahamas!

Stylin'. Got her shades on..upside down of course...that's the new rage didn't you know?...bracelet..and one white mitten...a la Michael Jackson...and her mirror to make sure she's lookin fine! :)

Mess. Yet again. Please don't judge. Ellie is awesome at playing quietly...and sometimes loudly by herself. I have to say...when I'm feeling productive...I do get a lot done because she's not demanding that I play with her. So when she does ask us to play...we do take the time to play with her :)

Ellie's Fashion Friday! Today she's in shorts from Gymboree and a new shirt from Gap. And she's swinging that wand around...and has apparently watched too much Beauty & The Beast..because she's pretending to be Gaston...and is poking me (the Beast) with the wand. Nice. Guess we'll be taking a break from that movie for a while.

Yes. This is our living room floor. And No...we did not get robbed! This is what happens when I end up sucked into a book all day...and end up reading the whole thing because it's so good! Ellie DESTROYED the house today...and as embarrassing as it is to show to the world...it's sadly what it looks like most days! LOL. No worries...she helped us clean it all up last night before bed...and it looks back to normal right now :)

Dora. We just got home from our weekend away...and she immediately runs to find Dora. There was another little girl at the pool over the weekend that brought her Dora...and Ellie thought it was hers...so she kept asking for her Dora. The little girl was nice enough to let her play with it...and it definitely looked like it had been "loved"...poor Dora had scuffs on her face that looked like a beard! LOL. So when we got home and she found her Dora the first thing she said was, "Her all better now!" LOL...too funny!

Happy 4th of July! We were hanging out all day at Wrightsville Beach, NC. What a great day of sun and sand! We all got a little toasty...but we have the best day! :)

Splashing! This kid is a total water baby. She loves everything to do with water...and has even more fun playing in a bucket of water than I've ever seen. We are at my sister's for the holiday...and she went to town...even stripped down herself to her diaper so she could play. Silly girl!

Ellie's Fashion Friday! She's in some comfy shorts from Carter's and a fun colorful shirt that was given to us before she was born. I think it's from Carter's too :) And she was busy drinking milk out of a big girl cup. We're trying to get her to do more of this...and less sippy cup. It amazes me how much less she drinks when she drinks from a big cup...so I need to be offering more fluids so she keeps up. We're getting ready to head out for the big holiday weekend too! Oh...and an update on her tick situation...the bump kept getting bigger...took her to the dr...now it's a skin infection from the tick...and it may have been that all along...but we can't be sure...so it's 10 days of bactrim along with the 21 days of amoxicillin...poor thing!!
